John A. Sames,
M.E.Chem.E., P.Eng.
President

John is recognized
worldwide as an authority on sulphur recovery, particularly in the field
of process optimization. His company, Sulphur Experts Inc., (and its
predecessor Western Research) is focused on the efficient operation of
sulphur recovery plants in oil and gas applications and has gained a
reputation as the leader in process knowledge and plant evaluation. He has
co-founded a sister company, Amine Experts, offering similar services
to amine processing plants.
John has been involved in every aspect of the
optimization of sulphur recovery over 23 years, initially working
in a large gas plant in northern Alberta, and for the past 20 years at
Western Research.
John is the author of over 25 technical papers on
various subjects relating to sulphur recovery and is the co-author of the
definitive text on the subject. He has presented the Western Research
seminar on Sulphur Recovery more that 110 times at locations throughout
the world.

Bruce
W. Klint,
B.Sc.Chem.E., P.Eng.
Manager - Engineering

Bruce has
been directly involved in all aspects of the process engineering
consulting work conducted by Sulphur Experts (and its predecessor
companies) for more than 15 years. He has provided expert advice and consulting
services in the area of plant inspections, testing and plant optimization
for the sour gas and oil refining industries. This includes working on
plant optimization projects in more than 150 operating facilities around
the world.
Bruce is also one of the primary speakers at Sulphur
Experts’ (Western Research) world recognized Sulphur Recovery Seminar
which has been presented at nearly 100 sites around the world. He has
primary responsibility for coordinating and completing all engineering
tasks related to Western Research’s sulphur plant simulation package Sulsim®
which is recognized as the premier simulation package for sulphur recovery
in the industry.
Prior to joining Sulphur Experts, he spent 6 years
operating, designing and constructing both upstream and downstream oil and
gas facilities including: well head equipment, pipelines, gas treating
units, sulphur recovery units and gas compression equipment.

Jamie
Swallow,

Regional Manager - USA

Jamie Swallow has recently moved to the United States to manage the expanding operations of Sulphur Experts in that region.
Jamie is responsible for all services and products offered by Sulphur Experts. His twenty years in the sour gas processing industry as analytical specialist, process engineer and sales engineer will allow him to work closely with Sulphur Experts' field engineers to ensure the projects undertaken by Sulphur Experts are performed to your satisfaction.
Prior to rejoining Sulphur Experts, Jamie was involved in technical sales for a large process instrumentation and control company and has worked for Sulphur Experts and Western Research in all areas of sulphur plant testing and performance evaluation.

Jan Kiebert,
B.Sc. Mechanical Engineering, C.M.Manager -
Europe & Middle East

Jan Kiebert has recently joined Sulphur Experts as
Manager-Europe and Middle East, based in our Netherlands office. Jan's
main functions are to co-ordinate the marketing and sales efforts and the
services activities provided by both Sulphur Experts and Amine Experts in
these regions.
Prior to joining Sulphur Experts, Jan was Sales
Manager for Duiker Combustion Engineers in the Netherlands, the leading
supplier of burners and incinerators to the Sulphur Recovery Industry.
His fifteen years of experience and in-depth
know-how of combustion systems for Sulphur Plants will allow him to work
closely with his engineering colleagues at Sulphur Experts on
specification and optimisation of burner systems.
Jan is fluent in Dutch.

Rocky
Oshiro,

Rocky is a Technologist and comes to us with over 25 years of experience mainly working as ISO Quality Systems Manager and
Product Quality Manager at Ametek (and previously Western Research).
Rocky knows the sulphur industry well and is ensuring
that our methodology and procedures adhere to quality standards demanded by
our internal procedures and by our clients.
Rocky's main function is to co-ordinate the delivery
efforts of both Sulphur Experts and Amine Experts globally and to manage our
HSE program.

Peter
R. Dale,

Senior Staff Technologist

Over the past
twenty-five years Peter has been directly involved in analytical work
conducted by Sulphur Experts Inc. ( formerly the Process Analytical
Engineering Group of Bovar Western Research). This includes working on
plant optimization projects in more than 150 operating facilities around
the world. Peter has also designed and manufactured over 20 "Sulphur
Analytical Systems", Sulphur Experts proprietary gas chromatograph
analytical system.

Al Wakelin,
B.E. (Chem), P.Eng.
Special Projects Coordinator

Al, a Chemical Engineer, brings over 30 years of
experience in the Nuclear and Waste Management Industries. For the past 15
years, Al has held a number of senior positions in the design and
operation of the Alberta Special Waste Treatment Centre and is
recognized as an expert in the field of waste incineration.
Al's operational and project management experience
allows him to work closely with Sulphur Experts' field engineers and
designers to ensure that projects address the necessary technical and
operations issues.

Gerald
E. Bohme,

Senior Consultant

For more than 15 years,
Gerald has been directly involved in all aspects of the process
engineering consulting work conducted by Sulphur Experts Inc. He has
provided expert advice and consulting services in the area of plant
inspections, testing and plant optimization for the sour gas and oil
refining industries. This includes working on plant optimization projects
in more than 150 operating facilities around the world. Gerald’s
experience in the field of sulphur recovery is global, having been based
at Sulphur Experts’ offices in both Canada and Germany and having worked
on projects in more than 30 countries
Gerald is also one of the primary speakers at

been presented at nearly 100 sites around the world.

Ming Yu,
PhD Chemical Engineering
Software Development Engineer

Ming is a PhD Chemical Engineer with a major in
Thermodynamics. He also has expertise in software programming. He
graduated from University of Petroleum in Beijing and has done
post-doctorate studies in the Netherlands and in Japan.
His career has included working for Hyprotech -
working on HYSYS development, and more recently, Ming has worked for Jacobs and SNC Lavalin
on process design and optimization.
In joining Sulphur Experts, Ming's efforts will be
primarily focused on the continued development and enhancement of
Sulsim and other Sulphur Experts
software.
Ming is also fluent in Mandarin Chinese.

Peter
J. Seville,
B.Sc.Chem.E., P.Eng.
Senior Process Engineer

Since 1996 Peter has been
conducting on-site sulphur plant performance assessments and process
optimisation. In addition to providing engineering evaluations to clients
with existing and proposed sulphur recovery units, he also specialises in
thermal oxidiser optimisation.
Prior to joining Sulphur Experts, Peter was
working in the air quality and risk assessment field for all types of
industrial projects in Canada. He also spent seven years designing and
constructing downstream oil and gas facilities including gas processing
plant modifications, sulphur recovery units, compressor stations, enhanced
oil recovery and treatment facilities, as well as control instrumentation
and data acquisition systems.
Since 1999, he has been operating the
European office of Sulphur Experts in The Netherlands.
Peter is fluent in Dutch and
French.

Farsin
Derakhshan,

For over 10 years, Farsin has
been directly involved in all aspects of the process engineering consulting
work conducted by Sulphur Experts Inc. Returning to Canada in 1998 after
working two years for Sulphur Experts in Germany, Farsin has been providing
expert advice and consulting services in the area of plant inspections,
testing and plant optimization for the sour gas and oil refining industries.
Prior to joining Sulphur
Experts, Farsin was a facilities engineer at a several northern Canadian gas plants.
Farsin is fluent in German.

Jason Grundler

Senior Process Engineer

Jason has vast experience in both process engineering and operations management. Having spent time in the oil and gas, waste management and mining industries, he has worked hands on with a range of process unit operations. Jason's primary focus has been on operating practices to improve energy efficiency within the gas processing industry, as well as incineration optimization. He is able to draw upon his experience with facility design and construction, combustion engineering, separation processes and process control systems.

Martin has
been directly involved in method development for sampling and analytical
techniques, and process modeling related to sulphur recovery since joining
Sulphur Experts in 1995.
Prior to joining Sulphur Experts, Martin spent more
than 25 years working as the primary plant testing specialist for Gulf
Canada. He was directly responsible for providing technical resource
expertise to the Gulf Operating groups in the fields of sulphur processing
recovery and handling. He also has been directly involved with source
testing and air quality monitoring activities.

Chuck has

specialist, Brent worked in Bovar Western Research's Compliance Source
Testing department. He has more than 4 years direct experience in the area
of source testing methods and executing source test programs on a wide
range of different emissions sources.
