Gas Gathering Technical Training Course
Energy Experts is pleased to announce a new training course commencing in 2011 to assist operators of gas gathering systems in getting the most out of their existing systems. The Gas Gathering course focuses on safe and effective operation of field equipment with the following objectives:
- Review of the fundamentals of gas gathering including gas composition, hydrate control, network design, flow maintenance etc.;
- Discuss the many technology applications currently in use including separation, dehydration, heaters and compression;
- Review procedures for safe operation and optimization of key process units; and
- Equip participants to troubleshoot and address performance problems.
A number of case-studies will be presented using actual field data, exposing participants to a series of real-life problems. Each case will be reviewed in detail, with practical solutions provided. The course not only presents theoretical principles of gas gathering but also delves into field and operational aspects of system design and operation.

The course will be of value to anyone interested in obtaining information on gas gathering system design and operating practice. The training will be of particular value to all disciplines involved in system design and operation including field engineers, field superintendents, technology providers, senior operators and technical managers.
The Gas Gathering course is an intense two-day session providing a valuable forum for attendees to discuss design and operating problems with expert panel members and peers.
Format
The course consists of topic-specific sessions that include formal presentations and technical papers covering the course materials. Time is provided for an effective question and answer period on each topic.
The Gas Gathering Course for 2011 will be held at the following location:
Kananaskis, Alberta November 16 – 18, 2011
